Description Karsten Bräckelmann 2004-05-21 23:09:44 UTC
When calling Evolution the option of passing an URI to switch to a specific
component/folder is not supported any more.

The following command used to start Evo with the Local Inbox displayed:
% evolution evolution:/local/Inbox

This obviously isn't supported in recent versions.

This is a *regression* and a very useful feature. However, as this probably
isn't widely used by users, setting priority to normal.

all that code that used to handle this, doesn't exist anymore.

although a new mechanism might be able to be used for it.

some sort of thing in handleURL?

or something else?

this might not be doable for 2

i've put in something which partially addresses this.

you can do
evolution-1.5 mail:
tasks:

etc, to switch to tasks.

unfortunately the code doesn't know which window to talk to, so it
can't do things like switch folders etc. not sure if there's an easy
way to do this.
