Description chethan 2004-04-16 11:45:54 UTC
Description of Problem:
I created one contact list on the exchange address book. When I restarted
the evolution it is showing that list as contact instead of contactlist.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Start evolution. Go to contacts. Create one new contact list on exchange
addressbook and save it.
2. Click on the contact list. It will show you the contact list properly.
3. Close the evolution and view this contact list it will be shown as contact.

Actual Results:
It will be shown as contact and when you open it it will show the details
in contact editor view, not in contactlist editor view.

Expected Results:
It should show the contact list when you open it wilth contact list editor.

How often does this happen?
Everytime

Additional Information:
It wont happen with other address books which will be on the local computer.

We don't support contact lists in connector, so the right fix here
is to make it not possible to add one
Comment 2 chethan 2004-05-12 12:11:11 UTC
I checked this bug with the latest build dated 11 may 2004 and it is
not giving any option to create contact list on the exchange account
address book.
I am marking this bug as resolved.
Comment 3 Sushma Rai 2004-06-16 06:13:29 UTC
Contact list is still stored as contact. Guess this was never resolved.
Re-opening it again

Created attachment 43876 [details] [review]
patch for disabling contact list creation option for exchange user.
Comment 5 Sushma Rai 2004-06-17 09:10:02 UTC
Added a static capability to disable this option. Attached the
patch to handle this while popping up the menu.
Comment 6 Dan Winship 2004-07-08 18:39:10 UTC
Sushma, what's the status on this?
Comment 7 Sushma Rai 2004-07-16 13:32:59 UTC
I didn't send this patch to the list.
But this is now handled, in a way that every backend
supporting this needs to set "contact-lists" capability.
