Description Joerg Balsiger 2004-03-20 09:18:00 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Blocker
Version: 1.4.6
Synopsis: Expunging Messages in Evolution crashes streaming radio, downloads, mp3s
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Miscellaneous
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1)

Description:
Description of Problem: Whenever I expunge (Ctr. + E) deleted mesages
from my home folder, the program seems to take up so many system
resources that parallel running downloads, streaming radio, or even
playing mp3s crash fatally.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Restart with Ctrl + Alt + Backspace
2.
3.

Actual Results: Clean restart

Expected Results: I would expect at least to be able to terminate the
crashing applications and restart them. But that does not work.

How often does this happen? Everytime I expunge and have sytem-intensive
processes running at the same time (my Pentium M 1.4GB processor, 512 MB
Ram system should easily be able to cope with that - was not linux
supposed to be good at this kind of stuff?)
