GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 251554
Cannot copy and paste entries from BCC line
Last modified: 2004-06-17 21:54:39 UTC
I want to send two e-mails. The first is to ten people. I include each recipient in the BCC line by selecting from my contacts list. The second is to nine people, a list identical to my first, minus one person. I copy and paste the people from the first email to the second, and delete the one person. While doing this I somehow manage to get Evolution asking me which e-mail address to use for one of the people. I tell it. I press send both for both e-mails. All okay? Nope. The second e-mail has sent to only the one person Evolution asked me the e-mail address for. It has not: 1. Checked the other entries on the BCC line for validity (i.e. is it an e-mail address?) 2. Copied and pasted the full information from the first e-mail to the second (i.e. both the name and e-mail address, or even a flag to say "check the contacts list").
This is still broken in 1.4.6
Alternatively, it would be nice if the address autocomplete was more clever. i.e. if there was only one match for a name on the To: line, use the e-mail address for that.
