Description David B. Ritch 2003-07-07 22:52:13 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: critical
Version: GNOME2.2.2 1.4.0
os_details: Ximian, Inc.
Synopsis: Evolution crashes when saving a contact update
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Calendar
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1)
Description:
Description of Problem:
Whenever I update a contact and save it, Evolution segfaults.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a contact.
2. Modify it.
3. Click on the save and close button.

Actual Results:
The contact editing window should close, and the updated contact should
be saved. Evolution should continue.

Expected Results:
The window closes and evolution crashes with a seg fault. When I
restart evolution, I find that the contact is updated.

How often does this happen?
Every time.

Additional Information:
I thought that I would be OK this time. I modified a contact, then
undid the modification. I closed the window without saving. However,
within a couple of seconds, Evolution segfaulted again.

I am running RedHat-9 with the Ximian-2 desktop, and a 2.4.21 kernel
with the preemptible patch.

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution-1.4'
