Sure, sounds good to me. My only concern would be that if one accidentally selects this option, then it could be quite a pain to undo its effect. So my recommendation is to reorder the context menu as follows (hopefully this will reduce the chance of one accidentally triggering the Mark as Read option): View Open in New Window ------------------ New Folder Move Copy Rename ------------------ Properties Delete ------------------ Add to Shortcut Bar Mark All Messages Read (or some similar ordering where "Mark All Messages Read" is hard to trigger accidentally.) "Mark all messages as read" already exists in the Edit -menu. The actual folder's context menu should have stuff that deals with the folder mainteinance. The "mark all as read" has more to do with the folder content (messages) so it is better off in the Edit -menu. Closing this.
not to beat a dead horse, and while i agree, the issue this could cause (and does for me) is that I have 4 or 5 folders each with 3 or 4 subfolders, and there is really no way to mark an entire 'superfolder' as read. im just using the select, ctrl-a, ctrl-k method now, and it works fine, but an easy menu item would make it much better. Im going to reopen just to get some input :)
Fair enough, but its too late for 2.0 i think.
