Description Matthew Lenz 2003-06-18 22:01:22 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem:
Idealy it would be nice to have INBOX, Drafts and Sent Items (Trash??)
displayed first in the IMAP folder lists. However, I would imagine that
most people would be satisfied with simply having the INBOX placed at the
top. (Maybe just displaying them in the same order as .mailboxlist?)
Comment 1 Jeffrey Stedfast 2003-06-18 22:09:58 UTC
mailer has no control over folder sorting
Comment 2 Ettore Perazzoli 2003-06-18 23:00:21 UTC
Jeff: it does, you can pass a sorting_priority value to
evolution_storage_new_folder(). That's what Connector uses to put the
Public folders on top, for example.

However, I am not sure if/how we should tweak the folder sorting
exactly. It needs some further thinking (and definitely not 1.4
material).
Comment 3 Toni Willberg 2004-12-09 14:44:51 UTC
This seems to be (partially) implemented in 2.0.2;

Inbox is now the first in the list, and Trash is the last.

Comment 7 Milan Crha 2011-09-13 12:41:56 UTC
This works for Inbox, it's always at the top now, and it's there for quite long time (I see on 3.0.0 and even earlier versions, I guess since comment #3). The rest can be dealt with in bug #202257.

Bug #537353 is rather about account sorting, than folder sorting, the user description there is not accurate, but what he wants is to move _all_ Search Folders at the top, which is bug #351025.
