Description Tim Lee 2003-05-30 17:49:17 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem:
If you set week start to a day other than Monday and leave the work days as
M-F then the work week view includes Saturday and Sunday. This seems to be
related to having work days before the week start day, but after the weekend.

For example with the Week start day as Tuesday and the Works days as M-F,
then the Work Week view shows all 7 days of the week. However if you
uncheck Monday as a work day, then just T-F are shown in the work week view.

Expected results:
Only work days are displayed in work week view.

Comment 1 Gerardo Marin 2003-05-30 22:25:06 UTC
I've seen this requested in some earlier version
Comment 2 christine 2003-06-17 20:24:22 UTC
it seems to me that this only happens when the Week Starts date is in
the middle of the Work Days. Not a big deal.... probalby not a 1.4.1
candidate - tim, what do you think?
Comment 3 Karsten Bräckelmann 2004-02-05 21:24:19 UTC
I can reproduce this in 1.4.5 and 1.5.3 versions.

Worweek is Mon-Fri when the start of week is {Sat,Sun,Mon}. For all
other days the whole week is displayed as "workweek" starting with
that day.

Resetting priority to minor, rescheduling to 1.5.5.
Comment 4 André Klapper 2005-03-23 22:08:32 UTC
still as described by karsten in evolution-2.2.0.0.200503210410-0.
snap.ximian.10.1, retargetting to 2.3.
Comment 5 André Klapper 2006-06-17 21:51:16 UTC
removing old target milestone.
Comment 6 Milan Crha 2009-06-19 14:47:20 UTC
- The ECalendarItem can select only consecutive days.
- User can select non-consecutive working days.
- Even consecutive working days make trouble here, because:
- Work week view searches for the first working day in the to-be-selected week
and the last working day and selects all between

I do not see many people involved, neither any dupe found yet, so shouldn't matter much.

Comment 7 André Klapper 2012-02-09 21:24:36 UTC
Still valid in 3.2.3.
Comment 8 André Klapper 2021-05-19 11:57:20 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
