I recently started up Evo 1.3.92 and was poking around in my preferences
and noticed that the "Apply filters to new messages in INBOX on this
server" was unchecked for both of my IMAP accounts.  I've checked them both
on, but filters still aren't being applied.  If I select a bunch of
messages and do "Apply filters", it does happen, however.  I'm not running
any other IMAP clients, so it shouldn't be a problem with the recent flag.
 Any ideas?

In my case works kinda randomly. Sometimes filters are automatically
applied, sometimes they require to apply them manually.

It happened to me in 1.2 too. I'm sure this is a duplicate in both
branches.
Bumping down priority since there are workarounds, it's not crashing
and no information is lost.
Also marking as probable duplicate.

all i can suggest is you run evo with CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG=1 set and
see if its actually getting the recent flag at all.

I use no other mail clients on IMAP box...
