Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem:
When the "Select Contacts From Address Book" screen opens, focus and the
cursor should be in the box to do your searches from. Right now, you have
to touch your mouse and move the cursor into that box.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Select New-->Mail Message
2. Click on the "To:" push button
3. Screen opens, focus is on the "OK" push button, should be in the single
line text widget with which to do searches.

Actual Results:

Expected Results:

How often does this happen?

Every time.

Mine shows focus on folder to make a selection.
When did you lat upgrade?
Comment 2 David Richards 2003-05-15 13:11:38 UTC
Just brought down 1.3.3 via red-carpet again today and got it current.
 It's still doing the same thing.

Focus and cursor should be in the single line text box to the left of
the [Find] Push button so that you can just start typing and hit
enter. Normally most people would have it pointed to the right
Contacts or LDAP option from the last time they did it.

Focus should be in that box, type in "Dave" for instance and hit enter
and all "Dave*" entries would come up.

I guess a top->down hierarch of folder-then-name is ok.
cc'ing anna, who really knows

running evolution-2.0.3.0.200412140900-0.snap.ximian.10.1 on suse9.2:

pushing the enter key is the same as clicking on the ok button; but
focus is on the first dropdown menu to select the address book.
Comment 5 André Klapper 2005-02-28 22:42:04 UTC
same as last comment in evolution-2.1.5.0.200502091805-0.snap.ximian.
10.1.

setting target to 2.3.
Comment 6 André Klapper 2005-10-26 23:24:50 UTC
retargetting, still in 2.4.0 as in comment #4.
