Description anthony 2003-04-23 22:29:19 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 1.2.2-5
Synopsis: Need to be able to edit appointment reminders
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Calendar

Description:
Description of Problem:
Currently there is no way to edit a reminder once it has been created.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a new appointment and go to the Reminder tab.
2. Add a new reminder of any type.
3. Click on the reminder; double click; hit the "Edit" button. Uh, wait
- forget that last one. There is no "Edit" button.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
A new window with fields displaying the values of the reminder pops up,
allowing modification of said fields.
Fields include: type (Display Message/Play Sound/Run Program), time,
time increment, before/after, start/end, and the
fields contained for each type in the Options sub dialog

How often does this happen?
every time.

Additional Information:
It would be nice if the option to e-mail a reminder was built in as one
of the types; the Options sub dialog would just
include the standard "Alarm Repeat" that's built into the other three
types, and would include a single field to input
various e-mail addresses. The mail itself would include the appointment
summary and location in the subject field,
with Date & Time and any notes in the body. Or should this be a
separate bug report? Probably, huh... :)

thx

This would be nice. I was about to say "just remove the reminder and
set a new one", which is what I've done for years--but if you've set
anything under "Options", it's probably not reasonable to expect the
user to remove and reset everything including Options.

This is still an issue in Evolution 1.5.7

If this has been re-targetted for after the 2.0 release, I sugest the
broken Edit button widget be completely removed from the current
reminder pop-up.

duplicate as discussed with gerardo on irc.
