GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 239965
Virtual Mailbox on contact catagories
Last modified: 2003-03-20 00:11:20 UTC
Description of Problem: One of the most common ways that I think about my mail is, "what messages do I have from my friends" or, "what messages do I have from my group at work" While it's possible to set up virtual mailboxes with lists of usernames to search for, that gets to be a complicated prospect that is difficult to manage. On the other hand, the contact manager already has those email addresses, and the concept of user-defined catagories. My feature-request is a wedding of these two features (virtual mailboxes and contact catagories) so that I can select mail where the sender or recipient is in a specific catagory (e.g. Personal or Business or a user-defined catagory like the one I have for my co-workers). PS: Virtual mailboxes are insanely useful already, and I recommend switching to Linux to Windows-using friends *just* for that feature of this application. All of the other transition headaches are worth it. Thanks guys! Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. n/a 2. 3. Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? Additional Information:
