Description Ryan Sinn 2003-02-19 19:45:28 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem:

When composing a any email [new/reply/forward] and I paste in text from a
website -- everything I type within the email body is displayed backwards
[i.e. right to left]

here's an example:

.siht ekil si epyt nac I yaw ylno eht taht tpecxe od ot gnimusnoc emit eb
dluow siht -- sdrawkcab hpargarap eritne na depyt tsuj i

Deleting the entire body of the message does not fix this problem.
Existing text is not transmuted into mirrored text -- the problem only
occurs after text from a browser or another document is pasted in.

The only way to stop this from occurring is to close the offending message
and start a new one.

The last time this occurred it was done by copying text from here using
mozilla and KDE's Klipper:

http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omniweb/support/content.html#dlpostprocess

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Copy Text from a Website using Mozilla
2. Paste the Text into the Body of the email message
3. start typing

Actual Results:
Text types as though you're viewing it through a mirror... right -> left

Expected Results:
Typed text is not backwards or mirrored.

How often does this happen?
Varies -- I do not paste in data from websites often -- I have done it
twice today though and the problem only occurred once.

Additional Information:
I am running Debian SID and using the Evolution package from unstable which
is version 1.2.2

Yay! Sounds like an April fools joke :)

Can't reproduce, but I'm not using KDE...
