Description Thilo 2003-01-03 11:41:10 UTC
How about a support of the webcal:// URL protocol from Apple? Apple uses
this with the iCal product: http://www.apple.com/ical/ to import calendar
data from the web.

Every user can easily add an webcal-protocol handler in GNOME. But
Evolution then needs to pay attention not only to "mailto:" but also to
"webcal:".

This would greatly ease the exchange especially with Mac users. Therefore
Evolution has one plus against Outlook again.

I am so fixing this for 1.6.
Comment 2 Rodney Dawes 2003-04-12 01:58:27 UTC
This will so not take 3 months. Maybe a few hours depending on how
smart the shell/calendar already are with URIs. We can probably even
just have conditional support for this. I need to research it slightly
more, but I think this should definately go into 1.6 because it is so
easy to do.
Comment 3 Rodney Dawes 2003-04-12 01:59:54 UTC
Making this depend on 30297 which requests support for ftp/webdav
sharing of your calendar.

Hans has already done most of the work for this and I have at least
been able to import the DNA Lounge events calendar in evolution HEAD.
I'm reassigning this to him since he's been working on it.

The read part of this works, I'm going to mark it a duplicate of 30297
for the write part.
