Description of Problem:
There should be a command line option to evolution to get it to import a
.vcf file from standard input; this importer could be used as the browsing
external application for the .vcf files downloaded from the WWW.

are you sure this bug is duplicated with bug 233275? 

this bug is related to import, 33275 is related to delimiters of email
adress group.
