Description Diego.SantaCruz 2002-11-07 13:45:20 UTC
Description of Problem:
I just upgraded from evo 1.0.8 to evo 1.2-rc1 (1.1.90). When I synchronized
my datebook (sync mode) with my palm pilot I got all appointments
duplicated on my palm and on evo. Looks like the conduit copied all
appointments from my pilot to evo and all appointments in evo to the pilot,
despite both sources having the same appointments.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Upgrade evo from 1.0.8 to 1.2-rc1
2. Synch the calendar with the palm pilot
3.

Actual Results:
Every appointment is duplicated on the palm and on evo.

Expected Results:
The conduit recognizes that existing appointments on evo and the palm are
identical and avoids duplicating them.

How often does this happen?
Did not try more than once, but it happened the first time I synched the
calendar after upgrade. Since then I restored the palm datebook database
from a backup, deleted the calendar from evo and trasferred the calendar
from the pilot to evo using the conduit.

Additional Information:
Under evo 1.0.8 I had synched the calendar several times recently, so the
appointments in evo and the palm were identical (well maybe except one or
two recent ones).

I just noticed, but all the tasks where also duplicated. The
addressbook, however, was synced OK.
