Description SI Reasoning 2002-11-06 19:35:07 UTC
Description of Problem:
On Mandrake 8.2 with Ximian, the latest Evolution
1.2RC1 (and the Beta before it) sends all email
signed with gpg as an attachment.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. send a new email or reply to a previous email
while signing with gpg will result in many email
programs receiving the text email as an attachment.

Actual Results:
Many people (especially in the windows world) will
receive the message as an attachment. Because of
the paranoia associated with receiving
attachments, they will not bother to read the
email. In some cases they will reply back that I
sent an empty email (not understanding that the
email text is an attachment)

Expected Results:
The text would be read by the email program
without having to open an attachment

How often does this happen?
almost always with wondows users (I would guess it
is an outlook or outlook express issue, except
that I have other Linux based email programs that
do not have this problem, including previous
versions of Evolution.
