Description Robert Walsh 2002-11-03 00:07:19 UTC
People's names are often not in the spelling checker dictionary. If a name
appears in the contacts database, then it should not be highlighted as a
spelling mistake as it's probably a proper noun. Since some people
mightn't like this behaviour, perhaps making it a preference would be a
good idea.

to devs, could it be done with an eplugin that would for example, get the contact list and build a hash table of it that could be added as an additional dictionary ?

This would probably not work as easily for ldap contacts, but that could be a starting point.

GtkHtml is not under active development anymore.
Evolution (its main consumer) switched to a WebKit backend a while ago.
It is currently unlikely that there will be any further GtkHtml development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping (bug 778387) to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
