Description llib 2002-10-30 05:39:37 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 1.1.2
Synopsis: evolution-mail "hangs" when viewing a message and updating from an IMAP server
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
i have a lot of folders on an IMAP server, and i have evolution set up
to scan for new messages in all folders.
occasionally i select a message that the mailer hasn't downloaded yet
(or seen recently, e.g., an old message) while evolution is attempting
to check for new mail.
the checking for new mail blocks the loading of the message i want to
display, whereas i would prefer the new mail check to be at a lower
priority to the message display.

this needs architectural support not available in the current code
Comment 2 Gerardo Marin 2003-08-21 22:22:23 UTC
Still valid in 1.4
Comment 3 Not Zed 2005-08-04 09:21:27 UTC
marking dup of the rewrite rather than clog the bug list with extras.
