Description Tommi Komulainen 2002-10-09 11:01:10 UTC
Description of Problem:
Selecting a folder with new messages in it and then using keyboard to jump
to next unread message leaves the focus in the folder list. This makes
keyboard navigation unnecessarily difficult.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Click on a folder with new messages
2. Press '.' or whatever to jump to the next unread message
3a. Press Up/Down
3b. Press PageUp/PageDown

Actual Results:
The selection moves in the folder list.

Expected Results:
3a. The selection moves in the message list
3b. The displayed message is scrolled

How often does this happen?
Every time.

pretty sure this is a dup

well, it's a pretty well known bug at least
Comment 2 André Klapper 2005-08-24 11:27:07 UTC

you must change the focus yourself to message list as gtk-2.6 introduces a new
search feature, so every input with foucs on folder tree searches within the
folder tree and has nothing to do with shortcuts.

3b
scrolling is already bug 231413.

adding dependency.

Hmm, works properly for me, after commit of bug #268644, thus marking as a duplicate.
