Description John Simpson 2002-10-07 03:00:01 UTC
Description of Problem:

The format of the dates in mail message list is inconsistent. Things like
"Today" and "Yesterday" instead of a real date... I'm sure somebody put a
lot of work into making it do this, and while I can see some people liking
this, I don't.

Can you add an option in the setup screens somewhere so the user can
customize the date format? For example, my personal preference would be to
see every date as "2002-10-06 22:50".

Another option would be to bring in the "system date format", and let the
user customize that format using the system's tools (i.e. KDE's "kcontrol"
or whatever Gnome's equivalent would be.) This is how "kmail" does it, and
it works well enough for me.
