Description Martin Reuter 2002-09-24 14:20:20 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Major
Version: 1.0.8
Synopsis: Problems with Pop and forwarded Mails
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
Evolution has a problem with receiving Pop Mails. It stops during the
process and (later) produces the error: The Evolution component that
handles folders of type "mail" has unexpectedly quit. You will need to
yout Evolution and restart in order to access that data again.

I think I know why:
I have a local account (var/spool/mail/usrname) and a forward to my
address at GMX. When I try to get mails with POP from GMX it works, as
long as there is not a mail which has been forwarded to it from my local
account. It seems that evolution has problems with duplicated Mails.

Setting qa contact to the default for this product.
This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.

can you get a tcpdump log? I can assure you that duplicate messages
has nothing to do with this.
