Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem:

Since Evolution now has the option of use SSL "When ever possible" it would
be nice if there was some sort of indication in the shell of whether an
account was connected using SSL. ( Icon by account name ? )
Comment 1 Gregory Leblanc 2002-12-11 03:29:25 UTC
Along the same lines, it might be nice to have a button in that config
dialog to "test SSL connection", or some such.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2006-02-19 17:08:34 UTC
the setting was confusing and of potential harm, as you already describe. therefore the string was changed back.

this bug can be closed after bug 321797 has been fixed entirely.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2006-04-24 15:32:51 UTC
i'd say this is fixed by bug 321797 which will be included in evolution 2.6.2 and 2.7.2.
evolution now does NOT fall back. if you decided to use SSL or TLS, evo either uses it or evo cannot connect. :-)
so now you can be sure that you use SSL when you told evo to use SSL.
