GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 229772
IMAP status bar not verbose enough.
Last modified: 2005-11-15 02:22:21 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: Scanning IMAP folders should be more verbose. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Click 'Send/Receive' button. 2. Window pops up and the status bar at the bottom of the main window changes to 'Scanning folders in IMAP server: blah" 3. Note that there is no indication of what the server and client are talking about - on slow connections it can make an average user think that the mailer has hung and make them try to stop and restart the client. Actual Results: See above. Expected Results: It would be nice to see the status bar change with each folder that is being scanned, perhaps very similar to the 'scanning vfolders' when launching Evolution. How often does this happen? All the time ;). This is a wishlist bug. Additional Information:
Created attachment 41446 [details] IMAP Send/Receive snapshot.
this was fixed in 1.4.4 or 1.4.5 by adding more camel-operation foo (also made it more cancellable)
