GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 226610
please provide hotkeys for message display modes
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:53:52 UTC
To display the raw source code of an email message, I have to click down 3 levels of menus. This gets pretty tiresome. I'd really like a hot key and/or menu button to switch between the different message display modes. This would be great, especially for those of us who like to trace spammers and virus-senders.
I don't know if this helps, but in the version I'm using (1.1.0.99) you can view message source by pressing Alt-A M S. Of course it would be best if they allowed arbitrary binding of menus like galeon, but using the above keys is quicker than mousing around...

even better would be a button with a drop-down menu inside the header area similar to the button shown for attachments. it could show the headers inline, or full source, or whatever.
still missing in evolution1.5-1.5.7.0.200405162027-0.snap.ximian.8.1.
there is a mneu item "view | all message headers" which can be toggled (enabled/disabled) in 2.3.5.1, it still misses a keyboard shortcut.

I dont prefer adding a new keyboard shortcut for this, you can use (Alt-V H). Im adding a context menu to fix this.
i'm also against adding another shortcut - if you really want to track spammers, then you need the message source (control+u). sorry, please contradict if you have additional arguments.
