Description Gordon Harty 2002-06-03 21:12:32 UTC
Description of Problem:

This is a feature request dealing with the thread view in Evolution.

The order of the email in Evolution, in the way I have it setup, is the
order in which the email was received. The most recent message is at the
bottom of the list. Everything works as expected when threaded view is NOT
in use.

When I turn on threaded view and I get a reply to an email message, the
next message in the thread is attached to the earlier message, as one would
expect.

The problem is that the order of the messages is determined by the FIRST
message in the thread rather than the LAST message in the thread.

I get a lot of email each day (like I'm sure most of you do) so when I'm
looking for the most recent messages in threaded view, I must scan ALL of
my previous email to see if there is a thread with a new message. I would
much rather have Evolution sort the email by the LAST message in the thread
rather than the FIRST. Then all threads with recently received email would
show up with my other recently received email (non-threaded email).

I have scanned the documentation and the sorting methods trying to see if
this is possible in some way but so far have not found it. Sorry if it is
there and I didn't find it.

Evolution is a great product. Thanks.
