Description Liem Nguyen 2002-03-20 20:49:23 UTC
This is a (important) feature request rather than a bug. I am running
Mandrake 8.1 but upgraded with Evolution to 1.0.2 and I love it. My Palm
is PalmIIIx running PalmOS 3.3.

I am able to connect to my Palm from Evolution (sometimes, I have to open
the Palm Settings in order to stimulate the connection) and download the
Palm data (Address Book, Notes, Date Book, and To Do)--actually, I haven't
tried to synchronize (2-way exchange) with my Palm given the status of Palm
syncing development in Evolution.

The problem (or deficiency) is the Categories in Adress Book (Contacts), To
Do (Tasks) are stripped/removed in Evolution (e.g., Contacts, Tasks). The
Category feature is quite important especially in Contatcs; it allows to
replace the so-called personal distribution list in order to send mail to a
group of people (belonging to the same category). I believe this behaviour
shows in other distros as well.

Feel free to email me for further information.

Thanks in advance.
Liem Nguyen
