Description jamacdon 2001-11-28 20:11:22 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 0.99.2
Synopsis: Display Variable/Parameter
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Shell

Description:
I have a dual head system with a Matrox G550. Instead of having a wide
desktop I have it setup as to independent display. The first display is
:0.0, then second display is :0.1. When I start evolution and pass it
the --display=:0.1 parameter, the shell comes up on the second head,
but
the components (mail, contacts, summary) still come up on the first
head
which is designated by :0.0.

I am just assuming that the --display parameter is just not being
passed
to the shell.

If I set a the environment variable DISPLAY to DISPLAY=:0.1 and then
run
evolution it works properly.

Sorry for arriving so late to your report. Actually, yes, we were
defaulting to display 0
