Description:
Shift select a group of messages, now click the last message selected.
The selection group goes away but the message is not displayed. You have
to click off the message and back again to have it display.

I don't see this as a bug. In a multiple selection it doesn't make
sense to display any message since it is... well, a multiple selection.
Anyway there's already a report on this.

No you misunderstand the bug, clicking a message in the selection
group removes the selection group, and should display the message
clicked.  It removes the group, but doesn't display the message.
