Description alhonen 2001-10-18 07:22:51 UTC
Description of Problem:
There's no field for PGP key id in Contacts. This causes a problem when sending encrypted mail to people whose e-mail address has changed since the creation of their public key, as Evolution will only try to encrypt to the with the e-mail address the message is sent to and gpg will obviously not find it.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a PGP key.
2. Try to send a message in Evolution using this key but a different e-mail address.

Actual Results:
Can't do it.

Expected Results:
Should be able to define a PGP id for each person, which would be used instead of the address when available.

How often does this happen?
Always.

Additional Information:
gpg 1.0.6

This would be a pretty cool feature, I think.

Many people would really benefit from this. The German government has
declared that the email must be on a secure platform. This includes
using GnuPG to sign/encrypt email. This feature would add acceptance
for Evolution to be used there.. Plus I really would like that feature.
