GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 212278
would like to filter/create vfolders by address book folders
Last modified: 2005-11-15 02:22:21 UTC
When creating a filter I can match by from: address. However, it is impractical to add all people who are in a contacts folder to the filter, therefore I'd love being able to filter by from address matching a person in the contacts folder X (including secondary addresses etc) to go into a specific folder. :-)
This would be really nice.
I third this - another useful and similar feature would be able to filter based on address-book lists but I'd put this at a lower priority. I used this in my former life with Eudora - it's the *only* effective way to filter junk mail I've ever found.

This is not really a duplicate of 20739; that bug is requesting an *addressbook* filter based on ldap. What we are asking for here is the capability to build a *mail folder* filter based on what's in addressbook folder(s).
