Description Joe Drew 2001-09-27 02:31:42 UTC
Note that while this is related to bug 202133 and bug 202132, this is not a
duplicate of them.

The Address entry form lists certain fields, such as Address, City and
State/Province. However, it also lists ZIP code, which in many countries
(such as my own, Canada) doesn't exist, and the Country combo box has
United States as default at the top. This is needlessly biased towards
American users; ZIP code should be listed as ZIP/Postal code. As well, the
country combo box should either a) make the default top country settable,
b) have the default be the local country (if that is even available
information, such as from timezone if appropriate), or c) have no default.
Having United States as the default causes more (minimal) work for those
not selecting United States, and b) looks bad to those who don't, and will
rarely if ever select United States as the country for a contact.

This isn't a duplicate of bug 202132; that details display, this one
details entry.
