Description Herbert Valerio Riedel 2001-09-18 23:31:38 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 0.13.99
Synopsis: flags do not get updated for shared IMAP folders...
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:

when more than one IMAP client accesses a folder, evolution does not
handle updating read/delete/answered flags when those flags have been
changed in the remote mailbox some other mail user agent;

e.g.;

open same INBOX over IMAP with pine and evolution

read/answer/mark-as-delete some messages in evolution
--> pine notices and updates displayed flags accordingly on update

repeat the procedure above in the reverse oder...
--> evolution will not notice foreign flag changes... :-(

regards

hvr: I'm pretty certain that this is a duplicate bug. If you could
find the original and mark this as such, I'd appreciate it.

0.13 is extremely old code. Please upgrade to 1.0 before filing more bugs. Thanks.

sorry, couldn't find the duplicate bug;

this problem is still present for evolution 1.0;

it's quite annoying, if you want to let run evolution on your
workstation, and still be able to answer/edit your INBOX from some
other workstation, and when you come back you have to restart
evolution in order to see the correct answered/deleted flags :-/
