Tried the BHgtk theme in evolution and it didn't look good for this
component. It looks like none of the widgets are darkened in the
addressbook. Same goes for select names dialog etc when invoked from the
calendar.

Same still, but only for the addressbook, the day/week/month view in
the  calendar and my-evolution.
