GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 206891
Tree Sorting of Accounts
Last modified: 2010-11-16 08:33:42 UTC
This is a enhancement request: Rather than the default sort order in the 'folders' list of: local folders, account1, account2, etc. (see attached for explenation). How about eaither a) allowing me to choose whether or not I want the local folders at all. or b) allow sorting via a chooser (e.g. move one folder down and another up, etc.) Thank you for the chance to submit this request. Although it seems petty, I am thinking it to be somewhat necessary. Keep up the great work @ ximian! Paul Slinski

This is a duplicate of another bug to allow sorting of the folder pane. I can't find the original ATM, though.
As a result of the UI freeze today, I'm marking all remaining non-1.0 UI bugs to 'future'. Someone reading this should only change the target back to 1.0 under the following circumstances: 1) The change would not impact documentation. (i.e., 'how to do X' would not have to be changed in any way.) 2) The change would require trivial work for the programmers involved. Most likely, only the programmers themselves are able to judge this. So, if you are not on the evo team, or cannot provide a patch to them for this, you should probably not make any such changes. Sorry that this is going to impact so many irritating bugs, but we have to prioritize our limited resources.
Setting this to 1.1. It might be post-1.1 though.
Because of the decision to remap 1.1->1.2 and 1.2->1.4, I'm going to be moving a large number of bugs around in the bugzilla. You can just search on 'body contains' 'Because of the decision to remap' and mark all as read. Please direct all questions about this change to evolution@ximian.com, not the bug. Luis
Louie: you might be thinking of bug 202257, although that's about sorting folders within accounts rather than sorting the accounts themselves. There's also the bug that sorting is ASCIIbetical if your locale is "C" instead of en_US.
reassigning jpr's old evolution\miscellaneous bugs to harish
Note: Getting rid of the default local folders is not possible. These folders (Sent, Draft) are hardcoded as fall back in case the per-account customized ones are not accessible.
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 351025 ***
