Description Tuomas Kuosmanen 2001-07-30 11:14:49 UTC
The timezone icon on the calendar (icon is shown if you add an item with
different timezone) could have a tooltip like:

   [ 14:30 - America/New York ]

So one can figure out the timezone without having to open the appointment
in a separate dialog.

As a result of the UI freeze today, I'm marking all remaining non-1.0 UI bugs to
'future'. Someone reading this should only change the target back to 1.0 under
the following circumstances:
1) The change would not impact documentation. (i.e., 'how to do X' would not
have to be changed in any way.)
2) The change would require trivial work for the programmers involved. Most
likely, only the programmers themselves are able to judge this. So, if you are
not on the evo team, or cannot provide a patch to them for this, you should
probably not make any such changes.
Sorry that this is going to impact so many irritating bugs, but we have to
prioritize our limited resources.

we now have a general tooltip on events in evolution 2.5, so adding this should be fairly easy now - e.g. the location of an event is only displayed in the tooltip if it is set, so we just need to check if the timezone is different from the default one.

this is a UI change.

how it looks

This is how it looks. Definitely will not be as that with a different localization.
