Description Christopher Redinger 2001-07-24 17:32:14 UTC
I have a message opened, viewing it in it's own window. The message has a
txt attachment, so I am "viewing it inline." Whenever an event occurs in
Evolution that causes the main Inbox window to refresh (eg: a new message
is received, a message is deleted, a message is moved, probably more), the
message window also refreshes, which has the annoying side effect of
closing the inline view of the attachment.

UI! UI! This either needs to be fixed, completed, or removed.
Comment 2 Jeffrey Stedfast 2001-09-21 02:47:42 UTC
this depends on ETable being fixed so that we can use code that
already exists in message-list that unfortunately currently breaks
etable because of race conditions in etable/etree
Comment 3 Not Zed 2001-10-05 17:17:29 UTC
Is there any way we can just ignore the message-list stuff in the
separate display? It shouldn't need to care at all about it ...

Comment 4 Jeffrey Stedfast 2001-10-17 20:25:24 UTC
hmmm, this no longer seems to be broken for me?

can anyone confirm?
Comment 5 Christopher Redinger 2001-10-22 20:53:28 UTC
I just tested it again with the 10/18 build. Still broken for me.
Comment 6 Jeffrey Stedfast 2001-10-29 01:02:24 UTC
this bug depends on bugs in ETable being fixed and that probably won't
happen for 1.0, so marking this as future
Comment 7 Dan Winship 2001-10-29 14:04:44 UTC
Why does this depend on etable at all?
Comment 8 Dan Winship 2001-12-06 20:38:20 UTC
did this get fixed with the "deleting makes the message browser
clear itself" fix?
Comment 9 Christopher Redinger 2001-12-06 20:46:00 UTC
I'm happy to report "Works For Me."
Comment 10 Thomas F. O'Connell 2003-07-08 20:31:15 UTC
I'm seeing this in Evo 1.4... Does it merit reopening, or am I seeing
a different problem?
Comment 11 Gerardo Marin 2003-07-10 16:58:08 UTC
Thomas: please open a new bug report.
