GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 204521
Need support for having Evolution open a shortcut to a message on the desktop.
Last modified: 2012-06-21 09:07:46 UTC
I'd like two things to be implemented: 1) If I drag a message to the desktop and create a message shortcut, I'd like to be able to click on the shortcut and have Evolution, if it is already running, load the message into into a view window. This could be done, whether or not the message was still in any of Evolution's message stores. 2) If Evolution is not already running, I'd like to have activating the message shortcut launch Evolution and then have Evolution open the message in a view window. Once the message is in the view window, it would be nice to be able to reply to it or forward it.
Related, basically, to 4518.

Must-have for 1.1!
Because of the decision to remap 1.1->1.2 and 1.2->1.4, I'm going to be moving a large number of bugs around in the bugzilla. You can just search on 'body contains' 'Because of the decision to remap' and mark all as read. Please direct all questions about this change to evolution@ximian.com, not the bug. Luis
Moving rescheduled 1.2 bugs to future en masse; sorry if your bug didn't make the cut.
This report has a 'future' milestone and it's blocking bug 216905 which has a 1.2 milestone. I'm removing this dependency. If you feel appropriate, re-schedule this bug and re-create dependency.
when i drag and drop a message from evolution to my gnome desktop, it gets opened by my text editor - so still missing, updating version number. would be a bounties issue, i guess.
Bumping version to a stable release.
Moving this to Mailer.
Same as bug 401668. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 401668 ***
