Description Anton J Aylward 2001-07-05 21:10:10 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 0.10
Synopsis: GtkHTML in Gnome control doens't alter font for message body
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Miscellaneous

Description:
Using the Gnome control center as descibed in the documetnation to
alter font sizes does not adjust the font of the message body.

I can't make this a definitive assertion, since some vlaue cause evolution
to crash. But the other panes of the '3-panel view'' have tbeir fonts altered.

Marking this as minor, since fonts are changed, just not changed when
one clicks on "Try." You have to open another compose window for the
change to take effect.

Comment 3 Anton J Aylward 2001-07-11 14:39:42 UTC
The fonts are NOT, repeat NOT changed in the main view.

Tested: Change fonts with TRY, OK, and restarting Evolution, Gnome
and LINUX.

Tested: Onscreen fonts set to Icarus Vulture/12 and A D Mono/16
Print fonts set to Beast Wars/16 and DIe Nasty/14
This was done to make sure the fonts are dramatically
        "obvious".

Result: The only font change visible is in the compose window message
text. No change to the fonts in:

          1. The labels on the icons on the short cut bar
          2. The menus
          3. The folder names in the folder bar
          4. Any of the label fields on the frame structure
          5. The headers on the message list
          6. The lines of the message list
and in paticular becuase it seems to default to a smaller font than
all the rest
          7. The mesage dispayed adn the current selection from the
             message list.

However, the compose text font is as selected ONLY if the message
type is NOT HTML.

Comment 4 Luis Villa 2001-07-11 14:42:06 UTC
Marking as NOTABUG, then. The GtkHtml control is only supposed to
affect the text in the compose window, not the labels, menus, etc. To
change those you'll need to change your gtk settings.
