Don't have time to design this gui or to figure out the right way to dial the phone.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2006-02-22 00:15:02 UTC

We really need to get this scheduled now that Groupwise is being used. These are items that can be sent and stored in the post office and Evolution just skips them . Worse yet, it is seen by the Mailbox(1) counter with no way to read them.

I have designed a mockup using the Java client as the base and then used GTK widgets.

Groupwise 7 Java Client

Here is how it looks from the Java Client. This type of message is created by pushing on the phone icon on the toolbar, or by file >> New >> Phone
Comment 7 Matthew Barnes 2009-10-27 13:40:29 UTC
Since this would be a Groupwise-only feature, I'll insist on the core composer code not knowing anything about it. We'll need to make the composer extensible enough that this can be done entirely from the groupwise-features plugin. Have Pepp coordinate with me on that.

UI once existed but never ever worked: http://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution/commit/?id=ea3e4f239a529716452159d5deac20cd9a38c832

Isn't this what Empathy is for nowadays?

This strikes me as either evolution-groupwise or WONTFIX. Most likely the latter.
Comment 11 André Klapper 2012-04-03 11:17:28 UTC
Yeah, Empathy. I don't see a reason to not connect things in the desktop - if a SIP account is configured for the contact in e-d-s, offer the option in Evolution to call via Empathy.
Comment 12 David Richards 2012-04-09 12:57:12 UTC
This is not a request for a VOIP type feature, it's a major module in Groupwise to allow you to send an email message in the form of pink telephone slips. This is done to alert someone to return a phone call. Right now if you are using Evolution and someone sends you this type of message, it shows up in the Mailbox(X) as an email but it not displayed in your folder.
Comment 13 Alexandre Franke 2013-11-07 16:24:40 UTC
This would have been a feature request for evolution-groupwise, but it's no
longer maintained so I'm closing this report as obsolete.
