Frequently I get mails for which I have to send a detailed, well
though-out reply.  So I put them off for a couple days; often it is
the case that when I finally have time to answer them, all the ideas I
had in the meantime are forgotten.

It could be nice to add a note tagging feature for mails that you are
going to reply to; this could even be done nicely if/when we have the
notes or memo component.

Clarifying summary. This is about being able to have notes
attached to a specific object, not just a pile of notes in the
bug 200821 sense.

We'd probably also want this everywhere, not just in mail.
(If we were going to do it.)

another old one that is probably never going to happen (or at least, if it does,
it will be done by someone who never even saw this bug)
