GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 1999
Mail checker applets wishlist
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-core Version: 1.0.9 Severity: wishlist Pine leaves pseuso messages in the mail spool file: --------- xpc6:~> more /var/spool/mail/jss From MAILER-DAEMON Wed Aug 25 10:21:13 1999 Date: Wed, 25 Aug 1999 10:21:13 +0100 (BST) From: Mail System Internal Data <MAILER-DAEMON@ast.cam.ac.uk> Subject: DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA X-IMAP: 0918820416 0000002853 Status: RO This text is part of the internal format of your mail folder, and is not a real message. It is created automatically by the mail system software. If deleted, important folder data will be lost, and it will be re-created with the data reset to initial values. --------- What would be the chances of programming the mail check programs to ignore this message? Also, can we have less annoying animations for the mail applets? Something static like xbiff would be handy, as at the moment I can't ignore incoming mail! Reported as fixed.
Oops. mailcheck applet, despite appearances and name, lives in gnome-core, not gnome-applets. Moving there.
