GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 17764
status dock....
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
package: gnome-applets Version: 1.2.1 status dock problem. It seems I can use the dockets for some programs and not for others. Example, the dock app for firestarter seems to work correctly. but I can't get the kscd docklet to work, even though the help page for the status dock uses kscd as an example program. Another example, the xmms docklet plugin will not place itself in the status bar. The broken docklets show up as normal windows on my desktop. -jef -- Jef Spaleta http://www.princeton.edu/~jspaleta ___________________________________________________________________________ Work: Home: PPPL, MS 30 Tang Hall Apt 8-A2 PO Box 451 550 Memorial Drive Princeton, NJ 08543 Cambridge, MA 02139 jspaleta@pppl.gov jspaleta@princeton.edu (609)243-2660 (617)224-1379 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Groucho Marx: "Military justice is to justice what military music is to music." ------- Bug moved to this database by debbugs-export@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-01-27 16:58 ------- This bug was previously known as bug 17764 at http://bugs.gnome.org/ http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17764 Originally filed under the gnome-applets product and general component. I don't have anything handy which would work with the dock, but I rather suspect this counts as a panel bug instead of a gnome-applets bug. Moving over to gnome-core/panel.
This is a bug in the docklet protocol.
Have seen other bugs like this, probably it is true even in cool new GNOME2, as status docklets did not change
