GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 173131
in gnome panel menus, dragging through the last used menu item causes a drag-and-drop operation to start
Last modified: 2005-04-09 08:36:26 UTC
Distribution: Slackware Slackware 10.1.0 Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.10.0 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Dropline Systems Synopsis: in gnome panel menus, dragging through the last used menu item causes a drag-and-drop operation to start Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel Bugzilla-Version: unspecified Description: Description of Problem: The problem occurs when using a menu in "Mac mode", by which I mean you click and hold the LMB, and move through the menu, releasing the button on the menu selection you want. If I select something like Applications->Accessories->Calulator, and then move through that menu again, the menu-drag becomes a drag-and-drop operation. It doesn't matter how you select the menu item the first time, it seems gnome remembers something about that selection, and dragging through it in the future turns it into a drag-and-drop operation. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Select any entry in a gnome panel menu. 2. Using a click-drag method to select another menu item, drag the mouse through the menu item chosen in #1 3. Actual Results: Hitting the last selected menu item turns into a drag and drop operation. Expected Results: The cursor should continue through the menus just like it does on all other menu items. How often does this happen? Consistently. Additional Information: ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2005-04-08 21:20 ------- Unknown platform unknown.
