Description Mark McLoughlin 2005-04-07 11:54:47 UTC
From Fedora:

  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=154092

It would be good if the web browser's Downloads directory was shown
under "Places". This would help new users who had wondered where
  their file went.

Related to bug 138876.
Comment 2 Reinout van Schouwen 2006-01-13 13:23:41 UTC
Epiphany could make sure that its download folder is always present in ~/.gtk-bookmarks. Would that be a good solution? It's probably cleaner to have a "special" location with a nice icon that mirrors the value of the gconf key /apps/epiphany/directories/downloads_folder.
Comment 3 Mikel Ward 2006-01-13 13:45:23 UTC
I would rather gnome-panel did this itself, but since Epiphany is the only current client and the only program that provides an UI to configure its location, I guess it's understandable if Epiphany has to register it as well.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all
old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you still use gnome-panel and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
