Description Joshua Swink 2005-04-05 02:08:33 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I tried to change my printer's type from "CUPS Printer (IPP)" to "UNIX
Printer (LPD)" in the "connection" tab, the changes have no effect. I can click
the widgets and type stuff in the "host" and "queue" fields, but the printer's
type remains "CUPS Printer (IPP)".

Clicking "print a test page" immediately after trying to make these changes
demonstrates that the changes haven't had any effect then.

Closing the properties dialog and reopening it reveals that the changes weren't
saved: the controls reflect that it's a "CUPS Printer (IPP)".

To solve the problem, I removed the printer entirely and started again from "New
Printer" in the "Printers" dialog.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Add a new printer with the wrong printer type
2. Try to change it to the correct type with the "Properties" dialog

Moving all gnome-cups-manager bugs to new product. Filter on Kjartan's spring cleaning.
