Description Jack Snodgrass 2005-03-24 11:42:37 UTC
Version details: 0.14.90
Distribution/Version: Fedora FC3

Find a NNTP sever with a slow connection startup time. Currently, if I do
telnet news.verizon.net 119
it takes 9 seconds to get a
Connected to news.verizon.net
message. ( not sure why... it just takes 8-9 seconds each time)

Start up PAN.

The UI Freezes for 'X' seconds times '1+Y' connections... so if you have
4 connections, and there is a 9 second NNTP startup delay, the UI freezes
for 45 seconds at startup.

I did a CVS Checkout on March 22, 2005 and compiled from the 'current' pan
directory structure.
