Description Dan Siemon 2005-03-22 19:31:37 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg)
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.10.0 2.10.x
Gnome-Distributor: GARNOME
Synopsis: Bookmarks menu sometimes shows file history not bookmarks
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Bookmarks
Bugzilla-Version: 2.10.x
Description:
Description of Problem:
Sometimes the Nautilus "Bookmarks" pull down menu shows some kind of
visited directory history instead of the bookmarks. This appears to
happen everytime I edit the bookmarks.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open the Nautilis in file manager mode (So there is a bookmarks pull
down).
2. "Bookmarks" -> "Edit bookmarks"
3. Change the name of one of the book marks.
4. Hit close to close the edit bookmarks dialog.
5. "Bookmarks" -> "Edit booksmarks"
6. The book marks list no longer contains bookmarks but some weird
history list.

Expected Results:
Should always show bookmarks.

How often does this happen?
Every time I try.

Additional Information:
Nautilus built with GARNOME 2.10.0.1.

There are other weird things that happen when editing bookmarks such as
the name in the edit bookmarks list not matching the name in the menu.
However, I expect they are all related to this.

That works fine here. Do you have a screenshot of the issue ?
Comment 2 Dan Siemon 2005-03-27 21:42:21 UTC
The problem is in the Bookmarks pull-down menu. How can I get a screenshot with
this menu open? The 'Print' screenshot key shortcut doesn't work when the menu
is focused and switching to a terminal to run import closes the menu.
Comment 3 Sebastien Bacher 2005-03-27 22:20:15 UTC
you can use gnome-screenshot --delay=... or the gimp
