Please describe the problem:
After gnome-startup some Icons in the notification-area-applet are shown only
with 1 pixel width and are not clickable.
Its random witch icon has this problem (for me gaim or gdesklets)

Steps to reproduce:
its a random problem at startup of gnome

Actual results:

Does this happen every time?
no but it happens often

additionaly i created a fresh user on my system and put gaim and gdesklets into
the sessions. The problem remained in the fresh gnome. Accidentially gaim and
gdesklets is started twice, take a look:

After starting gnome again with my main-account there where gaps between the
icons, instead of the 1-Pixel-width-bug :
