Description Fabrice Rousselle 2005-03-18 17:04:16 UTC
Distribution/Version: ubuntu hoary

Start typing text in the URL.
There is a slight lag before the complemention list pops-up. This lag is
actually very noticeable, even though it is small. Also, if the user hits the
"down" key before the list pops up, the focus will move away from the URL bar,
confusing the user. I personally had to adapt to this relative slowness which is
a step may most people may not be willing to take.

Confirming. GTK bug??
Comment 4 Christian Persch 2005-07-20 20:14:55 UTC
The gtk+ entry completion has a 300 ms timeout before popping up the completion
popup.
Comment 5 Reinout van Schouwen 2006-01-29 01:43:35 UTC
Is there any chance this will be addressed in GTK? Like an API to set the timeout for the popup?

If not, I suggest to mark this WONTFIX.
Comment 6 Christian Persch 2006-09-05 15:25:13 UTC
We need to file a gtk+ bug here.

New super history backend fixed this and cold fusion in 3.3.91.
